Join us at Goodwater for a taste of some great Rye Whiskey made by Sagamore Spirit with Scott Allan from The Whisky List. Long before Bourbon took the spotlight, Rye was the grain of choice for American Whiskey drinkers, and the bustling hub of Rye was once the riverside city of Baltimore, Maryland. In 1911 over 20 Million Litres of whiskey flowed from the state, but thanks to prohibition and two world wars, the art of Maryland Rye was almost forgotten. Sagamore was founded in 2015 to revive the state’s reputation for producing soft, delicious Rye Whiskey, and now we get to taste it!
